Freight Coordinator in Charlotte, NC

It’s alright

Cleaning up the warehouse. Cleaning up after the drivers then you sit until it’s time to clock out. Management don’t do nothing but tell you what to do.

Delivery Driver in Mogadore, OH

Ehh goodish I worked for a friend so he was great lasership is unorganized, start times used to be 5:30 or 6 am now it’s like 9 to 10 am to many drivers trying to park in there spots. Building way to small.

Product quadenator in Grayling, MI

Expected to do the work of 2 people. Able to be yelled at by the receptionist. Needs new management and better work ethics. Sit and wait for a truck to show up then unload it I was doing paper 10000 pound pallets that had to be moved all around the where house and delivered. And when I could not get it done fast enough the receptionist gave me about it every time but the days I got it done because of l I was amount I had to help out the other people and when I could not get it done I was given and never got help only given

Driver/Operator in Richmond, VA

The environment was not healthy.

I enjoyed the job but management was not on the same pages and the contractors. The main manager who is no longer with the company had some issues. The pay would often come up short. He would make manual adjustments in front of you but the pay still did not match the work. After 8pm Dispatch would no longer be reachable so you would be on your own if you ended up with a heavy day.
The payroll delivery was the only somewhat organized part of the warehouse until the manager was let go.

Dispatcher/Customer Service in Indianapolis, IN

Nice place to work

Only complaint was I wish they paid more. You do get a lot of time off and everyone I worked with was nice. The health insurance was good and you get vision and dental.

If you were in charge, what would you do to make Lasership a better place to work?

December 19, 2020

Mogadore Ohio. Pay fairly and hire more people. Customers are being told there shipments are delayed due to weather when there isn’t bad weather and they are told it will be there next day but it won’t. They call angry. Everyone’s behind and overworked and it’s a mess.

What tips or advice would you give to someone interviewing at Lasership?

October 9, 2019

Dont waste your time because you will regret it in a few months. Pay will be missing from your check every single week. Plus one day of every week you will be working for free to pay for shirts you dont want, the app, and some sort of fuel charge. Not stable either. One day they will just give your best route to someone they like better. You will tear up your van with the mileage. You will receive about what the govt allows you in tax deductions for your mileage. but no compensstion for your time. That and your labor handling huge bins, totes and multiple packages is all done for free while you sell you car mileage cheaply.

What is the procedure when a package has been damaged?I had this happen and no one from Laser emailed me-I found out through the tracking.Do you advice calling the company from which I ordered or ?.

February 18, 2019

I was in charge of entering damaged packages into the system. Basically, if done correctly, you are to enter all required information daily, such as the clients information and order number. If it is done correctly, the system is updated, however, their programs and equipment are severely outdated and any inputted information lags or does not register when entered.

Lasership Employee Reviews

Decent 1099 job, but it doesn’t feel like 1099

Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Chantilly, VA - August 8, 2021

If you get an assigned route, you basically have to work 6-7 days a week no matter what. When you need time off you have to go talk to other contractors about covering your route so you don’t lose it. The master contractors who hire subcontractors make more and the subcontractors they hire make more money than you if you’re a single contractor. There is absolutely zero loyalty to the drivers. You can be there for 10 years and they will treat you as if you just started. No rate increases on the routes since I started there while, cost of living, gas, car parts/labor have all gone way up. And because they can’t cover all their routes they have people with small vehicles take small amounts of packages and pay the 2-3-4x more than the regular drivers just to get those packages delivered. So basically if you’re a hard worker and show up to work everyday and do your job right, you can still lose your route over a sick day, or family vacation that you tell them about months in advance, yet they give you no guarantees on money you’re gonna make, what size packages you deliver, where you deliver, etc. Overall it’s not a good business that expects massive amounts of turnover. They purposely tow the line the 1099 and w2 by controlling their contractors and threatening them with new policies every time they have an issue. They sent out settlement checks to drivers and never told us what it was for. It was for unfair overtime hours they weren’t paying their employees for. But I’m 1099, so why did I get a check? Because you’re treating me as w2? I don’t know. Stay away if you can.

Show up when you want for the most part

No paid time off, 1099 (yet you can’t take days off), rates for packages NEVER increases

Ability to work independently. Gain warehouse and delivery skills. Workday from start to finish is dependent on your scheduled route, usually 8 hour days.

Forklift Operator | Charlotte, NC | Jan 29, 2020

Good workplace; terrible with raises and advancement

I would like to continue working at this job but I’ve been working here for 6 years. They are terrible with raises and advancement in the company in general. Very laid back work environment. But the main issues is they do not want to pay more than $10 for warehouse work( which needs to be at least $13 for the work they do in there).I think that is just disrespectful and the hours are inconsistent .

Delivery Driver | Marietta, GA | May 2, 2016

Work and pay don't add up

Working like a slave for little pay, High turn over rate, You have to provide your own vehicle and pay for a scanner weekly with doc fees.

ConsYou use your own vehicle
