The Hudson Diamonds is a nonprofit organization committed to teaching girls the game of fast pitch softball.

Our focus is teaching fundamentals of the game, sportsmanship, teamwork, and fellowship to all our girls.

Our goal is to provide each girl a fun and athletic experience that will challenge them at a level of competitiveness that meets their experience and ability.  We host teams from rec to A-ball. Participating promotes self-esteem, healthy activity, friendships, and community.

We’re dedicated to the development of our athletes’ skills, sportsmanship, and self-respect.  Our coaches love helping the girls grow!  Girls between 6 and 18  years old are eligible to participate.

Placement for travel teams by tryouts in the fall.  Individual tryouts may be available.  Contact us if interested.

South Jeffco Sports Association (SJSA) provides youth softball for female athletes living in the Chatfield, Columbine, and Dakota Ridge High School areas. SJSA is a part of the Girls Softball League of Jefferson County (GSLJC). League games are played against other areas including Alameda, Arvada, Bear Creek, Golden, Lakewood, West Jefferson and Wheat Ridge. Presently South Jeffco is fielding approximately 22 teams and over 250 girls are in the program.

We offer recreational T-ball and Coach Pitch leagues between the ages of 6 and 8 years old. The recreational option continues for ages 9 to 18. Leagues are formed for 9 yrs, 10 yrs, 11 yrs, 12 yrs, 13 yrs, 14-15 yrs, and 16 yrs and up; with teams playing at different division levels. The divisions are evaluated each year to balance the level of play across the division. The recreational leagues only play on week nights, with the exception of one (optional) league tournament played on the last weekend of the season.

The Colorado Diamonds offer a competitive option that fields teams playing in each age group (10U, 12U, 16U, 18U). Tryouts for these teams happens in late July and early August and teams are established based on these rosters.  More information can be found on the CO Diamonds menu item above.

Coronavirus Pennsylvania: Delco Diamonds Softball Team ‘Dedicated As Ever’ Despite Holding Practices On Zoom

DELAWARE COUNTY, Pa. (CBS) — There may be no better time than now for young athletes to get in some practice. Some local coaches are now leading workouts virtually.

Silent fields and empty basketball courts — signs we’re still on lockdown. But at least one softball team isn’t taking this sitting down.

“If we don’t keep practicing we’re going to lose everything,” Delco Diamonds player Maya Flicker said.

It’s quite challenging not playing on the field surrounded by teammates, but the Delco Diamonds are adjusting to a new routine — Zoom practice.

“Catchers will go one day, middle infield will go one day, outfield will go another day,” Maya said.

Their coach came up with drills that don’t require a second set of hands, which Maya practices in her backyard.

“We’ve been practicing four, five days a week and we’ve had 100% participation,” coach Mark Burrell said.

It must be difficult not knowing when you’ll be back on the field.

“It is because we’re going to need to practice things in person for it to work with the entire team,” Maya said.

Tournaments have been canceled while the team plays the waiting game.

“They’re dedicated as ever right now. They’re doing everything they can to stay in shape and be ready to go if we do have a season,” Burrell said.

Coronavirus Pennsylvania: Gov. Wolf Says Counties, Businesses ‘Choosing To Desert In Face Of Enemy’ By Reopening Early

Until Gov. Tom Wolf says it’s OK to gather in large groups, the medical director from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Department of Infection Prevention and Control says we’ll have to find a new normal.

“We’re going to have to find that new normal, and we’re going to balance the need to get back to a routine while practicing physical distancing, masking, all those measures will still need to stay in place,” Dr. Julia Sammons said.

Welcome to the 26th year of Naperville Diamonds Softball!

Established in 1994, the Naperville Diamonds is one of the largest travel softball organizations in Illinois, designed for girls from 7 to 18 years of age. It is our mission, through the sport of softball, to help grow strong, confident, successful young women.

From our tournament programs that compete with the top teams throughout the Midwest to our in-house developmental division, there is a softball home for everyone with the Diamonds.

This past spring, 79 Diamonds played IHSA softball for 23 different Chicago-area high schools. More than 20 former Diamonds are currently playing college softball.

In 2016 we opened our indoor training facility, "The Diamond Mine," as one of the premier indoor facilities in the Midwest. An addition in the fall of 2018 now gives Diamonds players more than 18,000 square feet of off-season training space.

Each of the past two seasons the Diamonds have been the Chicago home for The Packaged Deal, the No. 1 softball clinic in America.

The Diamonds are a non-profit organization that survives thanks to the countless hours of so many volunteers. Please consider donating your time or other resources so we can continue providing exceptional athletic opportunities for your children.

Go Diamonds!
